Iran gave Hezbollah UAVs, attack aircraft

Iranian experts were sent to Lebanon to aid Hezbollah in building the aerial array and train militants, Hezbollah sources tell Kuwaiti newspaper.

Hezbollah has obtained a complete aerial array from Iran, including an attack aircraft and several unmanned aerial vehicles, Channel 10 quoted the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Siyasa on Saturday.

According to sources close to the Hezbollah military leadership, Hezbollah has at least three different kinds of UAVs and an Iranian aircraft that could reach long distances and attack specific targets on the ground.

The sources say that these are the "surprises" that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah promised his organization would use in any future conflict with Israel.

Iran's Revolutionary Guard is responsible for the transfer of the aircraft to Hezbollah, sources say, and dozens of Iranian experts were allegedly sent to Lebanon to aid Hezbollah in building the aerial array and to train militants.

United States border police involved in one of the largest drug busts in U.S. history discovered a 600-yard drug smuggling tunnel

United States border police involved in one of the largest drug busts in U.S. history discovered a 600-yard drug smuggling tunnel that was part of a sophisticated operation used to transport tons of marijuana between Mexico and southern California, authorities said Wednesday.

The tunnel was equipped with a rail system, lighting and air vents, stretching the length of six football fields underground between warehouses in Tijuana and the Otay Mesa area of San Diego, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said.

Agents discovered the passage this week during a massive seizure of about 30 tons of pot, which cops said had a street value of more than $20 million.

Saudi prince: Iran is on 'explosive' path in Middle East

Prince Turki al-Faisal, a former ambassador to the U.S., says Washington shouldn't take military steps against Iran to reassure Israel.

Prince Turki, a former Saudi intelligence chief and former ambassador to the United States, said Washington should not take military steps against Iran's nuclear program to reassure Israelis over the peace process with Palestinians.

"No one denies that a nuclear Iran is a major international danger, but claiming that the U.S. must take military action against Iran to push forward the Israeli-Palestine peace process is to attempt to harvest apples by cutting down the tree," he said.

Prince Turki, discussing the Middle East peace process in a speech at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, said a war over Iran's nuclear program would be "calamitous and not just catastrophic." It would turn back the clock on peacemaking across the Middle East, from Iraq to Israel, he said.

"The Iranians have to be aware of the explosive nature ... of pursuing their present course of enrichment," he said.
